In 2000, Envirotronics was a struggling test chamber company who heavily relied on Thomas Register to supply it with sales leads. Envirotronics ran a dominance program in Thomas Register consisting of half page ads on every other page in the category of “Chambers: Environmental”. In addition, Envirotronics rank an 8 page product catalog and a company profile ad. Overall, Envirotronics had an investment of over $60,000. It was the largest Thomas Register account in the Thomasnet’s Michiana territory so when Google launched in the fall of 1998, Envirotronics was concerned about Thomasnet being able to coup with this new technology. There were numerous discussions with the Thomasnet franchise owner, Mike Meiresonne, who was also concerned with this new search technology of Google.
As a result, www.environmentaltestchambers.com was created to prove to Envirotronics that Thomasnet’s partners were going to help further them market their products and thus Industrial Quick Search was born! Soon thereafter, Envirotronics was sold and now is part of Weiss-NA. Weiss-NA is still and advertiser with IQS! Envirotronics started cutting back their Thomasnet program and cancelled it in 2002. The same year, Mike resigned his franchise to work full time with IQS.
